How to: throw a girls night in

Pop, Sip, Hooray

These days our weeks feel like a race against time and catching up with girlfriends can feel like another ‘to-do’ on our lists. We have the perfect alternative.  Ditch the heels and the venue, a girl’s night in is on the menu!

With all the hustle and bustle, getting the squad together for a girl’s night in can feel like a lot of work. We put together an easy roadmap to help you pull off the perfect escape with your girlfriends.

Pick your colors:

Not every party needs an elaborate theme. Choose the color of your vibe, and this will create the stepping-stones for décor, food, and drinks. Finding your color is like finding the missing piece to a puzzle, and after you do things will fall into place. You can create an elevated look with little effort by sticking to your color pallet.

For example:

Color: White

Décor: Fresh cut white roses/hydrangeas/peonies

Food: White Cheddar Popcorn/Vanilla Ice Cream

Drink: White wine/bubbly of choice

Now Playing:

Go with the flow! If you’re looking for a low-key night of catching up, the background noise of your choice should be music. Turn on our custom Girls Night In playlist on Spotify and let the shuffle do the work for you.

If a quiet night of laughing in front of the cinema is what’s in store, renting a movie is easier than ever with streaming and instant downloads. Picking a movie amongst a group of girls is no easy task, so go for a few of our favorites: While You Were Sleeping, It’s Complicated, Sleepless in Seattle, Pretty Woman, Dirty Dancing -- you get the idea.

Food:

Keep it easy, light and hassle free. After all, the night is also for you to enjoy! Make sure to choose appetizers that are easy to refill and long lasting (i.e. save the avocados for the facemask). Stock up on those just-one-more-handful snacks, but try something a little healthier like mixed nuts, fresh fruit or flax crackers and humus; we don’t want our guests leaving with regrets. And if you’re serving a full dinner, make things easy and order take-out catering from a favorite neighborhood restaurant.

Help:

Remember that this night is for you just as much as it is for your guests, so don’t be shy about getting a little help so you can be a guest at your own party.  Hire an experienced KrooMember to help you set up, serve-up and cleanup your evening. We promise that you won’t regret it!
